Requirements for the Major
Applicants are admitted to the program on the basis of academic acceptance by the University and a portfolio review.
Both the BA in Art + Design and the BA in Art History require the completion of 126 credit hours (40 hours must be at the 300-level or above). For detailed degree requirements, see www.butler.edu/jordan-arts/undergraduate-programs/art/major-minor/.

Arts majors are exempt from the following requirements of the University Core Curriculum: Perspectives in the Creative Arts (because they take 9 hours in the arts) and the Butler Cultural Requirement.
