CS 458 - Introduction to Cryptography and Cryptanalysis

An introduction to classical and public-key cryptographic protocols, including mathematical and algorithmic cryptanalysis. Symmetric key systems include simple substitution and transposition ciphers, the Vigenere cipher, the one-time pad, block ciphers, and quantum cryptography. Public-key systems include RSA, discrete-log systems, Diffie-Hellman and EIGamal, digital signatures, and zero-knowledge protocols. (U) Occasionally
