The course studies linear maps between vector spaces. These simplest of transformations are quite sophisticated and useful when the dimensions are higher than one. Topics include the structure of vector spaces, matrices, determinants, orthogonal bases, applications such as solving systems of linear equations, and eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
