MIM 514 - Financing Your Project Min Units: 2 Max Units: 2 The goal of this course is to provide students with quantitative skills combined with basic theoretical knowledge to make optimal financial decisions. The focus is practical application of financial calculations and concepts through case studies and real-world problems. The elementary concepts and calculations of the time value of money and free cash flow estimation are introduced as the basic tools for valuation, while the characteristics of investment securities are discussed from the perspective of the cost of capital for the firm. Capital budgeting tools for decision-making form the quantitative core of the course. Meanwhile, the skills to build and forecast financial statements are utilized for understanding day-to-day cash flow management. (G) Fall Prerequisite(s): MiM degree-seeking status, MIM 511 and MIM 515
