Requirements for the Sociology Major
The major requires 39 hours plus an internship or service-learning course. Additional Area Requirements (24 hours)
At least one course from each of the following four areas:

Global and Comparative Studies
An internship or service-learning course is required. Community, Health, and Well-Being Concentration
If a student would like to declare a Sociology Major with a Concentration, a chosen concentration must be made by the Junior year. The concentration requires three courses (9 credit hours) within the chosen concentration. The Senior Research Seminar paper and the Community Engagement requirement must be in the chosen concentration, as well. The two choices of possible concentration are below; students may only select one concentration.
