The Bachelor of Musical Arts in Musical Arts requires 124 credits:
- At least 62 credits must be in music.
- At least 18 credits must be earned towards a minor in another field, a concentration, or an emphasis. The academic advisor will work with each student to oversee this degree requirement.
- At least 40 credits must be at the 300-level or higher.
- Music students must attend 16 performances/events per year; for students who are student teaching, studying abroad, or in full-time internships during the academic year, only 8 performances are required for that year.

- AM 23 - Keyboard Skills 3 Min Units: 1 (or AM 31 if piano major)
- AM 24 - Keyboard Skills 4 Min Units: 1 (or AM 32 if piano major)
- Major Ensemble (ES courses, 8 credits)
For students whose major instrument is piano or guitar, six semesters of this requirement may be satisfied with piano-related or guitar-related ensembles, including ES 101 /ES 301 , ES 102 /ES 302 , ES 313 , ES 423 , ES 124 /ES 324 ,ES 127 /ES 327 , ES 108 /ES 308 (one semester only), or AM 127 /AM 128 , in consultation with their academic advisor and major teacher.
