The Bachelor of Music in Performance requires a minimum of 124 credits:
- Credits in the Core Curriculum count toward the 124 credit minimum.
- At least 40 credits must be at the 300-level or higher.
- Music students must attend 16 performances/events per year; for students who are student teaching, studying abroad, or in full-time internships during the academic year, only 8 performances are required for that year.
Performance majors must select either Voice, Piano or Instrumental.

In addition, four semesters of this requirement may be satisfied with guitar-related ensembles, including ES 101 /ES 301 (Chamber Music), ES 102 /ES 302 (Guitar Ensemble), ES 124 /ES 324 (Jazz Ensemble), ES 127 /ES 327 (Jazz Combo), or ES 108 /ES 308 (New Music Ensemble; one semester only) in consultation with their academic advisor and major applied music teacher.
