BSHS 350 - Health Disparities Min Units: 3 Max Units: 3 This course will provide an overview of current population-level health disparities, within the context and scope of differences linked with socioeconomic and environmental disadvantages, as well as differences in access to or availability of facilities and services. Also, the course will use a worldview framework to analyze the links between cultural and economic priorities and health disparities, while distinguishing between inequality/equality and inequity/equity as regards population health variables. Finally, the course will explore the necessary historical, political, environmental, social, and cultural factors for the possible diminishing of health disparities. (U) Fall, Spring Prerequisite(s): BSHS 110 and BSHS 290 ; or PHE 102 ; and junior standing
