EC 373 - Economics of Development

The course will analyze the economic challenges facing developing countries including: poverty, income inequality, health and education problems, gender inequality, corruption, high fertility, child labor, lack of access to formal financial institutions. The course will discuss the causes and the different policies that have been proposed and adopted to deal with each of these challenges. (U) Occasionally
