CS 445 - Artificial Intelligence Min Units: 3 Max Units: 3 This course is an introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), which is the study of building software systems that behave “intelligently,” or more precisely, enable a computer to learn, plan, and solve problems autonomously. Key topics include rational agents, knowledge representation, search, probabilistic reasoning, and (un)supervised learning. The course will also survey selected topics in the field, which may include: fuzzy logic, clustering, pattern recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, machine learning, neural networks, Bayesian networks, genetic algorithms, and robotics. Finally, we will conclude with a philosophical discussion on the future of AI and its impact on society. (U) Spring Prerequisite(s): CS 351
