CH 160 - Modern Issues in Biochemistry Min Units: 1 Max Units: 1 An on-boarding course for first year Biochemistry majors that provides an overview of the biochemical field with a focus on current scientific issues of societal and global importance. The course addresses the questions “What is Biochemistry?” and “What do Biochemists do?” by providing real world examples of current research and its impact on the global community. The discussion-based class introduces students to the biochemical literature, electronic resources, scientific presentations, and future careers in biochemistry. (U) Spring
