PWB 109 - Mindfulness in Everyday Life Min Units: 1 Max Units: 1 Learning to meditate can help to calm the mind and encounter life circumstances with greater confidence. Taught as a secular practice, meditation can connect us with our overall wellness by harmonizing mind and body, working with our anxiety and building resilience, regardless of faith and philosophical views. By cultivating a regular sitting and walking meditation practice, and through readings and discussion, students will understand the value of meditation, develop skills to navigate daily life, acquire further self-awareness and tools of reflection, and explore a deeper understanding of what it means to practice mindfulness in everyday experience. Open to students who have not completed a PWB course. (U) Fall, Spring, Summer
