PCA 252-TH - Fashioning Identity: A History of Dress Min Units: 3 Max Units: 3 This course introduces selected periods from fashion history as inspiration for the design process. Students will examine the role of clothing and appearance in creating individual and cultural identity through readings, observations, and research. Aesthetics of beauty, fashion, anti-fashion, gender, religion, body modification, cultural heritage, and fashionable technology are avenues for exploration in this creative expression of who we are.
