ME 516 - Curriculum Design and Assessment Practices in Music Education

Min Units: 2
Max Units: 2
Educational systems are increasingly reliant upon localized assessments as a part of program evaluation and design. This course focuses on the use of assessment practices unique to the music classroom to shape instruction, make educational decisions, and promote teacher effectiveness. In addition to shaping individual student learning, these assessment practices are used to evaluate entire programs of curriculum to establish learning expectations for all students and guide curricular decision-making. Course participants are expected to have an educational setting in which they can work with music students. (G) Occasionally
