CS 439 - Hacking: Ethics and Practice


Introduction to computer and network security. This course briefly reviews TCP/IP, computer networking, and operating systems. Topics include an overview of ethical hacking, the basic types of attacks, social engineering, port scanning, enumeration, cryptography, and scripting. Students will practice hacking in a protected, private network setting.
