This one-credit course provides an opportunity for students to learn about drones’ application in news coverage and storytelling and offer practical drone flying sessions under the instructor’s supervision. The Drone Journalism course discusses regulation enforced by the Federal Aviation Administration, as well as safety procedures and ethical principles of drone journalism. Students will learn best practices of aerial videography and photography and practic them during flight sessions outdoors. (U)
