- Applicants are admitted to the program on the basis of academic acceptance by the University, an audition or portfolio review, and an interview. Visit https://www.butler.edu/jordan-arts/admission/ for details.
- The BS In Arts Administration-Theatre requires the completion of 128 credit hours; 40 hours must be at the 300-level or above.
- A grade of C or higher is required for all JCA courses.
- For students considering a career in professional theatre and/or graduate studies in theatre, adding the BA in Theatre as a secondary major (21 additional theatre credits) is recommended.

Arts Administration majors are exempt from the following requirements of the University Core Curriculum: Perspectives in the Creative Arts (because they take nine credit hours in the arts), The Social World (because they take nine credit hours in the social sciences), and the Butler Cultural Requirement.
