This page is designed to be used as a supplement to the Middle/Secondary Education, BS page. You must refer to both pages for a complete list of curricular requirements for Middle/Secondary Education majors with this content area. French Content Area Requirements (42 hours)
Following this curricular plan will ensure that you meet the Butler University and initial Indiana licensing course requirements for teaching French for grades 5-12. Courses must be completed with a grade of C or better to meet the standard for College of Education students. University Core Content Area Course(s) Middle/Secondary Education majors with the French content area must meet all University Core Requirements
listed in Middle/Secondary Education, BS in addition to the following specifications: - [To meet the Global and Historal Studies core requirement], students are recommended to Study Abroad for 1 semester
Second Major Requirements
Middle/Secondary Education majors with the French content area complete all requirements for a second major in French, BA Students should declare a second major and see their LAS advisor for additional requirements. Availability of French courses are subject to scheduling by the Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures department. Below is a list of French courses that may be offered. |
