Behavioral and Mental Health Certificate

The Behvioral and Mental Health certificate is designed for physician assistant who what to enhance their knowlede and understaning of behavioral and mental health. The topics focused are on mental health assessment of individuals and families, child and adolescent disorders, adult disorders, and psychopharmacology of psychiatric disorders. The four course modules explore behavioral and mental health across the lifespan and including substance use disorder.

Applicants to the Foundations in Orthopedic Care Certificate program must have successfully graduated from a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on the Education of a Physician Assistant. 

The Behvairoal and Mental Health Certificate includes four, 3 credit hour modules for a total of 12 credit hours. All modules are six weeks in length. The program can be completed as quickly as 2 semesters, but may take longer to complete as courses are typically offered once a year.Currently enrolled Butler DMS students in a different concentration may also expand upon their degree concentration to include information offered within these courses and obtain a supplemental certificate.
