Screenwriting

In this minor, students will study the art and craft of screenwriting through both introductory and specialized courses, as well as electives. Students will analyze and create a range of industry-related materials, including short film scripts, TV episodes, feature-length screenplays, show bibles, pitch decks, treatments, and beat sheets. Like the film industry itself, the screenwriting minor is inherently interdisciplinary and collaborative, with courses offered across three colleges—English, Theatre, and Creative Media & Entertainment. Students who enroll in the screenwriting minor will take: Minimum of 18 credit hours.
