Requirements for the Major
The major in psychology (35 or 37 credit hours) sets three goals for student development: to master a central core of psychological knowledge, to acquire basic methodological and computer skills, and to attain a sophisticated knowledge of at least one area within psychology. Students must take the following core courses: Seminar/Specialized Course
One 400-level seminar (from the list of advanced seminars or seminar-equivalent classes, e.g., PS 412 , PS 413 , PS 415 , PS 420, PS 499 ) Content Domains
Students must take at least one course in each content area/domain
Electives
The remaining 10+ credit hours will come from elective courses within Psychology. Up to 6 credit hours of experiential learning courses (PS 391, PS 396, PS 496) can count towards the requirements. |
