The Foundations in Critical Care Certificate is designed for physician assistants who want to enhance their knowledge and understanding of critical care. There are four modules that explore multiple components of critical care for patients including evaluation, treatment, and complications. The modules include the topics of advanced resuscitation, critical care pharmacology, and specific needs of critical care patients.
Applicants to the Foundations in Critical Care Certificate program must have successfully graduated from a PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on the Education of a Physician Assistant.
Currently enrolled Butler DMS students may also expand upon their degree concentration to include information offered within these courses and obtain a supplemental certificate. The Foundations in Critical Care Certificate includes four, three-credit modules for a total of 12 hours, which can be completed in just two semesters.
