Chemistry Content Area Requirements (41+ hours)


Following this curricular plan will ensure that you meet the Butler University and initial Indiana licensing course requirements for teaching Chemistry for grades 5-12. Courses must be completed with a grade of C or better to meet the standard for College of Education students. 

 

        University Core Content Area Course(s)

        Middle/Secondary Education majors with the Chemistry content area must meet all University Core Requirements
        listed in Middle/Secondary Education, BS in addition to the following specifications:

Second Major Requirements


Middle/Secondary Education majors with the Chemistry content area may also choose to declare a second major in Chemistry, (BA or BS)  

Additional courses beyond those listed above are required for students declaring a second major. Students should see their LAS advisor for additional requirements.
