Geography and Urban Planning Minor

The Geography and Urban Planning Minor consists of at least 18 hours (at least 9 at the upper-level) from the following course categories.

Requirements for the Geography Minor

Choose three of the following courses focused on urban and cultural geography, urban planning and design, and architectural history and preservation (9):

Environmental Geography and Ecology

Choose one of the following courses focused on topics in environmental geography and ecology (3-5):

Any upper-level (300-400) course on the developing world or Global South with minor advisor’s approval, including:

Any non-Western HST course with an area/regional focus approved by the minor advisor.
Any related study-abroad program course(s) up to four (4) hours approved by the minor advisor.
