Film Studies Minor

The minor in Film Studies seeks to promote a critical understanding of the art and experience of cinema as well as its influence on society and culture. The minor is designed to provide students with an introduction to the medium from a theoretical perspective by combining classes in film history as well as critical analysis of both fiction and non-fiction forms. An interdisciplinary and collaborative program, the Film Studies minor includes coursework from across the University in communication, English, history, and creative media & entertainment among others.
