The Nurse Educator Certificate is intended for those individuals who would like to enhance their understanding of teaching and medical education. The modules include instruction on program leadership, curriculum development, assessment, and simulation and technology. All modules are 3 credit hours.

Applicants to the Nurse Educator Certificate program must be master-level or doctoral trained licensed nurses.

The Nurse Educator Certificate includes four, three-credit modules for a total of 12 hours, which can be completed in just two semesters. The completion of the certificate will provide the required credit hours to apply for the Certified Nurse Educator Exam through the National League of Nursing. The state of Indiana requires 15 credit hours for an individual to obtain the Indiana Nurse Educator Qualification, so an additional 3 credit hour optional course is available. Anyone enrolled who desires may take the optional 5th course.
