Examination of selected operatic literature drawn from local and regional professional-quality productions. Two or three operas will be studied in depth and experienced in live performance. Class presentations and term papers will focus on filling any historical/stylistic gaps. An additional paper or project is required for graduate credit. (U/G) Occasionally
