COM 101 - Foundations of Public Speaking Min Units: 3 Max Units: 3 A person who clearly communicates information will be afforded many opportunities in life. The purpose of COM 101 is to refine students’ public speaking and communication skills to prepare them for personal, professional, and societal success. By providing students with effective public speaking skills, they can successfully engage with any audience. This course is designed to equip students to become clearer, interesting, and ethical communicators as well as better consumers of communication. Specifically, students will be introduced to the eight core competencies of public speaking.
